We developed a mobile data collection platform for Tenwek Hospital, a 400-bed Level 5 teaching and referral mission hospital located in Bomet County, Kenya. Established in 1937, Tenwek Hospital serves over a million people in the vast Southwest region of Kenya and the country at large. The mobile data collection platform was designed to enhance the hospital's capacity for real-time data gathering, particularly in clinical research and patient care. By enabling healthcare professionals to collect and access data on-the-go, the platform supports Tenwek's commitment to excellence in compassionate healthcare and training. To ensure effective utilization of the platform, we conducted comprehensive training sessions for medical staff, focusing on data entry protocols, system navigation, and data security measures. This initiative aligns with Tenwek Hospital's mission to provide quality healthcare services and its ongoing efforts in medical research and education. The implementation of the mobile data collection platform has streamlined data management processes, improved accuracy in patient records, and facilitated better decision-making in clinical settings.
